HOARD [Review]

Posted on November 11, 2010
Arcade-style dragon greed comes to PSN.
Overall Feeling:
Hoard is an interesting game of pillage and destruction through the eyes of an ancient beast. Unfortunately the game is bogged down by technical issues and a severe lack of opponents for what is a multiplayer focused game.
The Pros:
Hoard is an interesting game of rampant destruction and treasure hoarding, with the smallest hint of world management for flavour.
The Cons:
Terrible camera coupled with resolution issues that make it incredibly hard to see what you should be doing/what’s going on. For a multiplayer game there are very few opponents to be found online, and offline is bogged down by game-breaking bugs making it nearly impossible to enjoy properly.
ShogunGamer.com Rating :

“Burninating the countryside! Burninating the peasants! Burninating all the peoples…” Oh wait, wrong thing. But you know, it’s pretty hard not to think of Trogdor when you’re playing a game that can be summed up to people with that one line. Hoard is just that shallow, but at the same time oddly satisfying. It’s just a shame that massive technical issues will prevent anyone from fully enjoying the game.
