Mass Effect 2 ‘Cerberus Network’ Goes on Vacation; New ‘Pre-Mass Effect 3′ DLC Teased
Posted on January 03, 2011It looks like Mass Effect 2‘s content and information network “Cerberus” has decided to take a last minute vacation. Kotaku spotted a news update within the Mass Effect 2 network computer revealing that the service will halt updates soon after the game’s one year anniversary, on January 24.
The Cerberus Network offered users daily updates to the Mass Effect universe, often fleshing out the background of the series in text as well as through free downloadable content. While DLC has since shifted to a premium model–the last of which put players on the trail of the mysterious Shadow Broker–daily text updates from the “Cerberus Daily News” have continued.
