New Red Faction: Armageddon trailer has spiky dudes, explosions and creepy Martian monsters

When THQ revealed Red Faction: Armageddon last Spring, the reaction from gamers was one of “WTF are you doing?” After giving us three solid games, THQ and developer Volition were taking the Red Faction series into one of sci-fi action/horror game with the inclusion of Martian monsters in the mix. There’s always been a very over-the-top sci-fi feel to the Red Faction franchise, but suddenly throwing monsters into the mix, some of which drew comparisons to Dead Space, seemed like too much of a stretch.

The characters in the Yakuza series may be good guys in terms of their honor and some of the things they do, but at the root of things they’re still bad guys. While they may not be mustache twirling villains, the main heroes in Yakuza, especially series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu are essentially anti-heroes like Wolverine. Except you know instead of sprouting some adamantium claws the Yakuza chaps have awesome tattoos on their backs.

Bulletstorm Trailer: Lots of Swearing About Something or Other
Posted on December 20, 2010“A deeper look at the story and characters” of Bulletstorm are promised in a new trailer for People Can Fly and Epic’s shooter yet somehow all we can recall of it is lots of rude words being said and plenty of ‘xtreme’ behaviour. That’s probably how deep it is, then.
Developed by People Can Fly with Epic Games, Bulletstorm is slated to launch for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on February 22, 2011. An Xbox 360-exclusive Epic Edition will offer early beta access to Gears of War 3 for no extra cost, while supplies last.
All Bulletstorm needs now is a skateboarding section, Limp Bizkit soundtrack, branded baseball caps and in-game advertising for Mountain Dew. To the max, motherflipper!
